The Expedition Series, a new line of high-end tools designed for professional explorers, welcomes the RAO II Expeditions knife closure model.
Expedition Series knives offer the same reliability and high quality as all other Extrema Ratio tactical tools supplied to military special forces and law enforcement agencies.
The Rao II Expeditions is a tool that, due to its design and despite its compactness, guarantees the same functionality and features as much larger and more robust knives.
It has a desert colored handle and sheath like every other model in the Expedition line.
The blade is made of BÖHLER N690 (58HRC) steel with MIL-C-13924 polishing and Stonewash finish (DARK STONE finish). The Rao II Expeditions has an ergonomic handle with rounded top angles and a drop point blade.
It is inspired by the RAO model used by the Italian 185° Rgt. Ricognizione e Acquisizione Obiettivi "FOLGORE" (185° RAO).
The new Expedition series folding knife can be easily used even for heavy duty tasks thanks to the extremely robust locking mechanism, which, supported by a lock,works practically like a proper fixed blade.
In the protective part of the solid aluminium Anticorodal handle you will find a threaded steel pin that is hand screwed into two holes; it was added to ensure 100% resistance of the locking mechanism under intensive use and the force of blows caused by the weight of the tool.
Maximum safety for the user is guaranteed by screwing the pin into this fit.
All models in the Expeditions range are fitted with desert coloured cases and, amongst the various tools, flint.
The RAO II Expeditions is no exception and comes with a desert-coloured Cordura holster, which is an essential part of the carrying system.
This particular sheath allows you to carry the knife with the blade closed by placing it in a specific front pocket, or with the blade open by inserting it into a dedicated compartment that has a safety system made up of a strap with double clips. A diamond sharpener will also be available to the user.
The holster's MOLLE attachment system allows it to be worn on tactical vests and general belts.
