Extrema Ratio RAO C is a compact knife derived from the iconic RAO II. Thanks to its design, the RAO C is a tool that, despite its small size, can guarantee the same qualities of robustness and reliability as its older brother, while offering better portability and maneuverability. The handle is made up of two precision-machined aluminium shanks, to which Extrema Ratio applies a hard oxidation treatment that makes the handle more resistant to wear and corrosion.
Two steel frames help to increase the strength of the handle to cope with even the most demanding use. Particularly durable is the locking mechanism, which is backed by a safety system that transforms the knife into a proper fixed blade. The primary safety on the blade can be activated by raising and lowering the safety pin. A handy and quick secondary safety has been added to ensure maximum safety for the user during use; the safety can be activated by simply sliding the locking pin horizontally.
The reversible clip is designed to allow concealed carry in a pocket, making the knife invisible from the outside. The blade is made from Böhler N690 steel hardened to 58 HRC with a classic black Extrema Ratio MIL-C-13924 finish. To lighten the steel frame, a shape with a RAO C profile was laser cut; this was then used to create the gadget that comes with the knife.
