The Extrema Ratio BD1 R is a new knife designed with an emphasis on lightness, without sacrificing the usual toughness and reliability of the Extrema Ratio, including the black anodized Anticorodal handle. The modified satin-finish blade is made from Bohler N690 steel hardened to 58 HRC, is 2.75" (70 mm) long, 0.1" (2.5 mm) thick, with a smooth edge and a false edge in the first third of the blade. The blade is fitted with the usual "Razor" tang extension, allowing for seamless ambidextrous handling. The open blade is held open by a simple but robust liner lock system. A reversible clip with relief holes helps keep the weight of the knife to a minimum.
