Product detailed description
Designer Henning Marxen combines clean lines with minimalist eccentricity and dynamic functionality in this timeless design. The elements that make the Boker Plus Sprocket more than just a pocket knife, but rather a harmony of gears that mesh perfectly like a well-oiled transmission. The modified Tanto blade in D2 steel with a stonewash finish opens smoothly through the thumbhole and doesn't lock. It's held in place by a modern Detent-Slipjoint mechanism in which the beads are pressed against the blade inside a textured, non-slip G10 handle, and it takes overcoming the contact force to close and open the knife. Interestingly, the knife has a double-jointed, two-piece handle in which the blade is folded as usual and the rear grip flanges act as an extension of the front ones. The result is a balanced feel, impressive sharpness and maximum compactness in transport.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
