Product detailed description
Bowie knives originated in the early 19th century in the USA and were considered reliable working knives that were occasionally used in combat. Solid knives are characterized by a massive characteristically shaped blade, usually more than 15 cm long, as well as a guard to protect the hand. As a variant suitable for everyday use, the Boker Plus Pocket Bowie by Chuck Gedraitis combines the grace of a bowie knife with the flexibility and compactness of a pocket knife. Featuring a satin Bowie-style blade in D2 material, this three-fingered knife can easily handle all everyday tasks. The knife opens with a removable thumb stud, while the stainless steel linerlock locks the knife securely. The ergonomic handle with brown Micarta blades promises a secure grip and gives the knife a Wild West feel. The clip is beautifully integrated into the back of the handle.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
