Product detailed description
At the heart of the Boker Plus P-51 Damast knife is the distinctive 80-ply damascus blade, forged by Chad Nichols and composed of original parts from the historic fighter. When viewed from the side, the blade visually resembles a vintage fighter bomber. For example, the thumbhole is reminiscent of the Plexiglas cockpit cover that allowed the pilot an ideal all-around view.
Another interesting feature is the titanium handle, which closely replicates the aircraft's light metal plates with spikes. Striking is the blue knife axis bolt, which bears a silver US Army star, and the red anodized bolts, which follow the color scheme of the tail rudder. Exceptional reliability is promised by the titanium framelock with stainless steel insert, which holds the blade securely in place even under hard work. Despite the distinctive lines, the handle feels comfortable in the hand thanks to the ergonomic cutouts. The titanium clip is crafted from solid wood and allows for tip-up carry, while the lanyard hole offers additional attachment options. It comes with a quality nylon sheath for storage.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
