Detailed information

Product detailed description

The Boker Plus Kwaiken Flipper knife by Lucas Burnley is arguably one of the most influential designs of the 21st century. With its clean and practical shape, this modern pocket knife has become a true icon. The clean lines and slim design, which nevertheless holds the entire blade when closed, are absolutely unique. It is a further development of the well-known Burnley Kwaiken Classic, a closing knife also in the New Japan style. The flipper provides intuitive operation and additional safety, while the titanium framelock with stainless steel insert and anti-spin stop securely locks the blade with the straight-back M390 material. The exclusivity of this premium version, strictly limited to 500 units worldwide, is accentuated by the carbon fiber handle with green color inclusions. The slim design and unique material make the Kwaiken a noble frontier between a gentleman's closure and a tactical combat knife. To make this bridging even easier, the Kwaiken Mini Limited offers the same outstanding features as its big brother with significantly reduced (and therefore more pocketable) dimensions. The titanium clip is milled from solid wood and allows for tip-up carry.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
