Product detailed description
American custom knifemaker Lucas Burnley embodies the idea of Japanese kihon in the design of the Boker Plus Kihon DC. The term originally encompasses the essence and basic techniques of Japanese martial arts, which Burnley translates into a practical knife for everyday use. The features and straightforward design are a testament to high practicality and give the knife an ideal foundation for everyday cutting tasks. The satin-finished drop-point blade in D2 steel opens velvety smooth thanks to the ball bearing via a removable thumb stud, while the sliding lock ensures intuitive, safe and practical unlocking of the knife. The non-slip handle with textured squares is made of highly durable GFN and fits comfortably in the hand. The orange anodised rings around the blade axis screw and the large handle screw add a subtle touch to the Kihon knife. It comes with a lanyard hole and a convertible wire clip for flexible carrying options.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
