Detailed information

Product detailed description

Italian knife designer Alessandra De Santis of Hydra Design, a self-confessed Filipino martial artist, designed the Karambit knife for Boker Plus. These sickle-shaped knives have their origins in Southeast Asia and were primarily used for rice harvesting. The Boker Plus HEL Karambit, on the other hand, is presented in a tactical guise. The 154CM Hawkbill blade effortlessly carves its way through cardboard and ropes, while the G10 handle and robust linerlock lock provide the necessary safety when working. Low weight and high efficiency form the backbone of the pocket knife named after the Norse goddess of the underworld. As an alternative to the silky smooth flipper opening, the pocket knife offers a thumb screw pin on the blade's spine, the shape of which also allows the knife to be opened by pulling it through the pocket (similar to the Emerson Wave system). Alessandra De Santis's characteristic angular design features can be found in the striking ring of G10 material at the end of the handle. The wire pocket clip allows for flexible carrying of the knife.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
