Product detailed description
As the daughter of Zeus and Themis, Atropos was the eldest of the three goddesses of fate in Greek mythology and decided each person's fate by cutting the thread of life. Captivated by this fascinating anguish, American knife designer Chuck Gedraitis frees himself from the clutches of fate and takes the thread back into his own hands with the Boker Plus Atropos knife. The shape of the tactical pocket knife is modeled after Rex Applegate's legendary tactical knives, infusing every cut with their DNA. Symmetry is one of its defining features, which is reflected in both the single-edged dagger blade in VG-10 steel and the ergonomic handle in light brown Micarta. Decorative elements such as the attractive ricasso on the spine of the blade, the subtle stonewash finish of the blade, the hinted parrying element or the elongated indentations in the handle are proof of the tactical concept that has been implemented in the Atropos model for EDC use. Thanks to ball bearings and a removable thumb pin, the knife can be opened smoothly and intuitively and locked securely with the robust liner lock.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
