Product detailed description
Formed over thousands of years and shaped by the tremendous power of water: as far back as ancient Egypt, alluvial deposits were considered a blessing for a bountiful harvest. The erosion of sediments has created extremely nutrient-rich young soils along coastlines, rivers or lakes, which Justin Lundquist describes as the source of his idea for the impressive Böker Plus Alluvial. The nature-loving knife designer from the USA has been fascinated by knives since the age of four and has been successfully realising his own designs since 2013. Flooded with inspiration in this first collaborative project with Böker, he suspends the laws of nature and brings new life to the world of automatic knives with the slim Gentleman Folder. The D2 clippoint blade has a discreet satin finish and opens and unlocks with a push button. The button and blade axis screw are recessed into the black aluminium handle, giving the thumb an additional grip in use. The tip-up clip allows for deep carry and accentuates the earthy character of the automatic knife.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
