Product detailed description
Legends are not born, they are shaped by time until it is their moment to shape time. They don't live the myth, they create it and leave behind a venerable legacy. In 1966, the cornerstone of another icon was laid in Detroit, Michigan. In the epicenter of the American automotive industry, many vehicles saw the light of day. Many of them are ordinary cars, others are exclusively selected. The Chevrolet Camaro was originally designed as a so-called Pony Car to appeal primarily to younger buyers. Compact, sporty and affordable - the coupe was a stalwart for the semi-senior. Success didn't wait long. Between 1966 and 1969, some 700,000 Camaros rolled off the production line with 12 different engine options. In 1969, the last first-generation Camaro, the Z28, was introduced. Experts consider this model to be one of the best of the lineup. A powerful 216 kW (290 hp) small block V8 engine and a special Performance Package put the Camaro Z28 in a select league of muscle cars, including sporty body stripes. There's no denying the motorsport DNA of the now sought-after collector's item. The engine used is a detuned version of the successful and highly acclaimed Penske Camaro from the SCAA Trans AM racing series.
Boker cites the Camaro Z28's design and brings the legend to life. The result is more than just a knife. An attitude to live up to, a dignified road trip with the rumbling sound of a V8 engine on a seemingly endless highway, gentle rays of sunlight streaming through the canyon and warming the soul. Unforgettable moments without the everyday - just like the exceptional 1969 Boker Z28-Damascus. In collaboration with Italian designer Tommaso Rumici, a unique "muscle knife" was created that combines the distinctive character traits of the Camaro Z28 in shape and strength. The elegant drop-point damascus blade, hand-forged by Chad Nichols with 80 layers in a "Tread" pattern, resembles the sloping induction hood of a muscle car. Parts of the Camaro's upper A-arm were used for this blade, which opens smoothly with a blue anodized thumb stud, while a biting stainless steel linerlock locks the blade securely in place. The aluminum handle in "Le Mans Blue" nostalgically interprets the lines of the body and comes with exciting details. The knife beautifully incorporates a cutout at the rear, a small rear spoiler and air inlets on the rear fenders resembling gills. The bolt on the blade axle is lovingly inspired by the rims often used on muscle cars, while the straight stainless steel clip milled from solid steel is reminiscent of chrome door handles. A quality floating display, plenty of torque and a gentle breeze in the hair are included. Handmade in the Boker manufactory in Solingen.

Böker - the history of the factory dates back to the 17th century, the original forge was then located in Remscheid. In 1829-30, production was extended to sabres and swords. At that time, the factory employed over 100 blacksmiths and sharpeners. In the second half of the 19th century, part of the family moved to the USA and Canada, where they established further production facilities. The last of the Bocker siblings, Heinrich, moved to Solingen where most of today's production comes from. Boker manufactures knives according to its own designs and those of well-known knifemakers.
The company now manufactures its products in Germany, the USA and Argentina and uses the marketing brand MAGNUM. Böker develops new types and designs itself and employs several designers. The knives are manufactured on CNC (computer controlled machine tools) with the highest quality.
