The Bark River Bushcraft Scout is a compact and versatile knife designed for rugged outdoor use. The blade is made from modern MagnaCut powdered tool steel, which features extreme corrosion resistance, high hardness and excellent blade retention. Thanks to precise heat treatment, it reaches a hardness of approximately 62 HRC, which allows for a long blade life even under intensive use.
The length of the blade is 95 mm with a thickness of approximately 2.5 mm, ensuring an optimal balance between strength and gentle handling. The profile of the blade is drop point style with a slight belly curve, which facilitates precise cutting as well as rougher work, for example when preparing wood for a fire. The blade has a convex cut, which provides excellent cutting performance while providing ample durability for chopping or working harder materials.
The unique Spalted Hackberry Burl wood handle not only brings a unique visual character thanks to its natural veining patterns, but also a comfortable grip. The stabilised wood retains high resistance to moisture and mechanical wear. Black liners between the blades and the full tang improve overall strength and add an elegant contrast to the design.
